1960 Pierce Chronograph Calibre 134 Very Good Condition   1960 Pierce Chronograph Calibre 134 Very Good Condition
Chronograph piece of 1960 calibre 134 very good condition and extremely rare in this condition. Pierce chronograph, very well preserved, with the famous patented calibre pierce 134 of 1940/45.

Well described by ranfft: search entry "ranfft pierce134". The manufacture pierce must be known, this chronograph movement is one of the strengths. Trans carribean airways aviator chronograph. The first owner himself was a pilot in the German Air Force and more recently on the famous fiat g91 (the fiatg91 dubbed gina in Germany is a single-seater fighter of tactical support and reconnaissance aircraft, commissioned in 1958).

This watch was a gift from his father after passing his exams at the United States. As can be seen on the guarantee certificate this chronograph pierce watch dates from March 1960 and was purchased in Venise. The original gold plated bracelet, was more convenient to wear the watch with its folding clasp and was purchased at the time. The gold plated is somewhat rubbed but always portable and goes well with the piece in terms of style and golden tone. It should also be mentioned that this model was the last chronograph to be built with the 134 gauge of pierce in a waterproof case with round pushers in connection with a base lid with screwed thread, on the dial always waterproof. Note: older models refer only to patent s. And the stainless steel base, either with a pressure base or lids were simply screwed with 6 or later 8 screws. This model with screwed bottom is very rare. The movement itself was in production from 1945, the watch was made until 1960. Thank you for your interest, the defining feature of this movement is the clutch disc.

This one is not reproduced and is in perfect condition. The last interview was conducted in 2017 by the first owner, aviator, by a watchmaker with whom he was a friend. I acquired it afterward and was rarely carried by me.

I showed it to a watchmaker in zurich who was very impressed with my chronograph and described the movement as one of the best movements ever built. For me, it is important that it falls into competent hands because it is a chronograph watch made by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. The diameter is 37mm without the crown and pushers.
