His uncle taught him the art of engraving and he produced many works of history and genre. Published around: 1790 - OVER 225 YEARS!! - CAUTION: The map is in French and it is unfolded. The map is on laid paper and is greatly enhanced with hand coloring. It measures approximately 21" x 16", including a 1 3/4" border area.

It is not tangled or framed. The map is in very good condition. There is some browning, staining, and age-related spots, but most of these would be covered very well once tangled and framed. There are some notches and chips along the edges and there are creases in the corners. Other minor damages here and there.
